Man's relationship to God in creation was based on works. What Adam failed to achieve, Christ, the second Adam, succeeded in achieving. Ultimately the only way one can be justified is by works. (R.C.Sproul) Works! Works! A man gets to heaven by works? I would as soon think of climbing to the moon on a rope of sand! (George Whitefield) With the wolves you cannot be too severe. With the weak sheep you cannot be too gentle.” (Martin Luther on false teachers)

A THOUGHT, ON SPEECH

Does it not amaze you that small children, and even adults, can string together a number of words, without having ever heard these words in that precise sequence - with the result that this sequential 'string' may contain a never before conveyed idea or thought?

It is in that sense that language is, per se, an ongoing miracle, IMO.

Just listen to yourself, and be amazed at the 'gift' of language. I know, I know, some have it as a more pronounced 'gift' than others, but it remains a linguistic miracle, regardless the normal progression, or intricacy, of the sequential progression of the words.

We are "fearfully and wonderfully made".
